Gloucester County School Board Announces Amendment to Published Meeting Agenda
Gloucester, Virginia — The Gloucester County School Board announces an amendment to the agenda previously published on Wednesday for its upcoming meeting.
The amendment affects Item II. Call for Closed Meeting. The closed session will be convened pursuant to § 2.2-3711(A)(1) and § 2.2-3711(A)(2) of the Code of Virginia, as amended, for the discussion of personnel matters and one (1) religious exemption request.
The revised closed meeting motion will read:
"Pursuant to Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, Section 2.2-3711(A), Subsection 1, for the purpose of discussion or consideration of specific public officers, including the performance of individual members of the School Board, and the appointment, promotion, performance, demotion, salaries or resignation of specific public officers, appointees, or employees of the School Board; namely administrators, teachers, principals, associated support staff, and the School Board; and Subsection 2, for the discussion or consideration of matters that involve the disclosure of information contained in a scholastic record, specifically one (1) religious exemption."
The previously published agenda included discussion of one (1) request for release from compulsory school attendance. That item has been removed from the closed session agenda.
All other agenda items remain unchanged.
