Grounds Department

The mission of the Grounds Department is to provide a safe, attractive and natural environment in which to learn, work and play.

Groundskeepers are responsible for cutting and grooming all school lawns. This is to include, but not be limited to maintaining safe athletic fields and playgrounds, beautification through planting and maintaining flowerbeds, keeping parking lots and sidewalks in safe working order and free from debris. Overall providing an attractive, safe and natural environment for all students and staff to learn, work and play. Groundskeepers are essential personnel and are required to report to work during inclement weather i.e. ... Hurricanes or snowstorms.

Maintains School Campuses -- Including:

16 Athletic Fields
103 Flowerbeds
5 Nature Trails
19 Individual Playgrounds at our Five Elementary Schools
Approximately 453 Acres
