It is the mission of GCPS Facilities Services to provide a safe and secure environment for our students and staff. Facilities Services is responsible for the maintenance and operation of our schools and several other buildings totaling nearly 1,000,000 square feet. The Facilities Office is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, carpentry, locksmithing, and general maintenance. The department completes approximately 4,500 work order per year, as well as overseeing the vast majority of the school division's CIP projects.
