The Department of Secondary Instruction proudly extends gratitude to Gloucester High School seniors Camren Perkins, Madison Rohde, and Leah Nestor for their outstanding leadership and mentorship in the Middle School HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Advisory Program. 🩺📚
This year, these amazing seniors facilitated sessions at both Page and Peasley Middle Schools, working with 8th graders interested in health sciences. They prepared lesson plans, delivered engaging instructional activities, and served as incredible role models. 👩🏽‍🏫✨
Even more exciting, this fall, they will be heading to college to further pursue their passion for healthcare. Camren Perkins will major in Radiology Technician at Riverside, Madeline Roady will study Nursing at East Carolina University, and Leila Nester will also major in Nursing at Rappahannock Community College. 🏥💉
A total of 40 8th grade students participated in this impactful program. We are thrilled to announce that Peasley Middle School now has its very own HOSA club, where 8th grader Jocelynn Nester serves as the President. She is also a Junior Ambassador for the Gloucester High School HOSA Club. 🎉
Thank you Camren, Leah, Jocelynn, and Madison, for your commitment to the future of Gloucester County Public Schools and for inspiring the next generation of health science professionals! 🌟
