Division Technology Committee

Purposes of the Division Technology Committee

To update the Division Technology Plan annually
To implement the Division Technology Plan
To provide guidance to schools for forming Technology Committees and for creating school plans which dovetail with the Division Plan
To review individual school plans
To communicate among Administrative Team members, Instructional Team members, and building administrators
To share information via print (until Sept. of 1998) and electronic media
To develop guidelines for the School Board in regard to requiring technological competence (defined in the ABTEL Standards) as a condition of employment
To develop guidelines for Human Resources for job descriptions so that only technologically proficient candidates are hired for administative, instructional, and assistant vacancies.
To facilitate summer training for non-instructional staff, e.g., bookkeepers, head custodians, cafeteria managers, secretaries, etc.
